Disparekraf Invites ASEAN Delegates Tours Four Iconic Locations

To introduce the diversity of tourist destinations in Jakarta to delegations of city leaders from ASEAN countries, the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf) held a city tour on Wednesday (8/2) afternoon.

In the activity themed "Unity in Diversity", the participants were invited to get to know Jakarta by visiting four iconic destinations.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head, Andhika Permata said the city tour destinations were chosen not only based on historical stories, but also to show diversity in Jakarta.

"Unity in Diversity, which is the theme of the 2023 city tour, contains the meaning of maintaining unity in the midst of diversity. On this occasion, participants were invited to visit the National Monument (Monas) as a historical tourist destination and an icon of the City of Jakarta. In addition, we will introduce religious tourism destinations that participants should know, namely the Istiqlal Mosque and the Cathedral Church through a tunnel that connects the two," he explained, in the Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Wednesday (8/2).

In the MGMAC City Tour 2023 "Unity in Diversity", the leaders of the capital cities of ASEAN countries who are serving as delegates to the MGMAC 2023 Activities and the ASEAN Major Forum (AMF) are accompanied by two pairs of Abang None Jakarta and four tour guides from the Association Indonesian tour guide to enjoy and explore interesting tourist spots in Jakarta.

""Unity in Diversity" MGMAC City Tour 2023 was attended by 116 participants from Vietnam with 9 delegates, Thailand with 12 delegates, Singapore with 2 delegates, Philippines with 12 delegates, Malaysia with 5 delegates, Laos with 9 delegates, Cambodja with 10 delegates , Brunei with 2 delegates, and Indonesia with 55 delegates.
